Acacia Honey: The Pure Source of Energy & Nutrients
Mon, 2016-08-01

Acacia honey comes from the black locust tree, also called “false” acacia native to America. Also found in Europe, it is one of the most famous varieties of honey.

It has a pale color and looks like liquid glass.

It has a mild taste containing hints of vanilla, also sweet and has a floral flavor. It can be used in many beverages because it sweetens without changing the taste of the drink. It can also be used in cooking because of its mild flavor. It has a very tasting flavor when combined with cheese.

The acacia honey contains many vitamins and minerals as well as flavonoids that are antioxidants (protecting the cells from damage done by free radicals).

It is known that usually dark honey contains more antioxidants than light ones, but the great health benefit from Acacia honey is its low ranking glycemic index (acacia honey has a high content of fructose).

P.S.: low glycemic index (GI) foods may help regulate blood sugar and thus help you lose weight.

Acacia honey is known to help cleanse the liver, promote intestinal health and reduce inflammation in the respiratory tract.

Its antibacterial properties are useful for the skin when combined with other substances and helps in moisturizing and nourishing it.

When you want to eat honey, make sure it is pure and organic because only organic honey can give you the best nutritive value.

So whether you have a spoonful of acacia honey in the morning, or mixed with your favorite beverage or even mixed in your cooking, remember that it is always an occasion to give your body an excellent source of energy and nutrients.
